Leg Ulcer Investigation

What Does this Involve?
Leg ulcers are often the result of an underlying vascular cause. this is usually either arterial or venous insufficiency. Sometimes the presentation of the ulcer may indicate a higher likelihood of being either venous or arterial in nature; but it can also be difficult to tell or even a mixture of both. This study assesses both for venous insufficiency and arterial insufficiency.

The scans and tests included in this investigation are:
          > Venous Insufficiency
          > Leg Arterial Duplex
          > Toe Brachial Index

All these studies are performed on the same day.
