What Does This Involve?
It is well known that patients with diabetes are at a higher risk of developing arterial disease. Vascular ultrasound is a useful tool for diagnosing and monitoring atherosclerosis in diabetic patients. It can detect changes in the walls of the arteries, narrowing due to plaque buildup, and blockages due to the hardening of the arteries. ​

The scans and tests included in this investigation are:
          > Aortoiliac Duplex
          > Leg Arterial Duplex
          > Toe Brachial Index
          > Carotid Duplex
             
All these studies are performed on the same day.
